HDIF has signed and on boarding seven additional grantees focusing mostly on Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Menstrual hygiene and Sanitation, bringing the total number of funded grantees to 43. Below is the list of the new grantees;
Maisha Salama: Expanding a digital health platform delivering a continuum of care to support ECD in Zanzibar through the engagement of Community Health Volunteers (CHV) .
Ubongo Learning Limited
Akili and You: Whole Child Development Media for All. Improving the health, well-being and development of 3.5 million children under-6 in Tanzania through innovative customized tool kits, multi-platform media for children, caregivers and ECD stakeholders.
Catholic Relief Services (CRS)
Provide training to Youth Entrepreneurs to run sanitation businesses, construction of appropriate improved latrines using Human Centered Design (HCD) and smartphone technology to market sanitation products to poor Households (HHs), which are already triggered through CLTS.
Dorcas Aid International Tanzania
Improve menstrual hygiene by establishing a sustainable and innovative supply chain for cost-effective reusable sanitary pads and using Outcome Mapping to stimulate behaviour change on WASH.
Mwanzo Mzuri; ensure that young Tanzanian’s will be enrolled in high quality and safe pre-primary education, which improves school readiness and supports them to reach their full potential.
Well Told Story (T) Limited
Scaling up Shujaaz in Tanzania to address WASH and MHM. Shujaaz is a highly successful multimedia platform that focuses on youth attitudes, aspirations, and action including behavior change.
